How does my life change by getting involved in a small group?
Here are four ways that a person will benefit from sharing life together
with other believers in a small group.
Small Groups are a place of LEARNING.
At FCI, small groups "are our classrooms". We learn best in an environment
where we can listen, ask questions, and share our own thoughts. The small
groups ministry at FCI provides "interest based" groups that cover a variety
of subjects in each cycle so that Christians can continue learning the Word
of God comprehensively.
"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need
to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15 NKVJ
Small Groups are a place of CONNECTION.
A small group is a great place to make new acquaintances and friends. The Christian life is intended to be shared among believers who "do life together" in a community of faith.
"And they continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers." Acts 2:42 NKJV
Small Groups are a place of EMERGING.
Small groups give people with the desire to become leaders, a place to develop the leadership qualities that lead to success in life. By learning to lead in a small group, the "leader within" with emerge.
"And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men (and women) who will be able to teach others also." 2 Timothy 2:2 NKJV Small Groups are a place of CARING.
Small groups provide the relationships of support we all need from time to time as believers in this world with all it's challenges. Learning to "bear one another's burdens" is an act of authentic caring among Christians.
"Bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2 NKJV
"Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others." Philippians 2:4 NKJV
By being actively involved in our Small Group opportunities, you will LEARN, CONNECT, EMERGE and CARE. This will be "life changing."
